With Ocean Queen, the Unexpected Custom atelier embarks on an allegorical journey into the depths of marine aesthetics, transfiguring the historic Berkel flywheel slicer into a sculpture of hypnotic charm.

The work is structured on a sumptuous silver leaf lamination, which acts as a mirror for a symphony of aquatic tones: from crystalline turquoise to ultramarine blue, down to the vibrant shades of emerald green.

This chromatic score is crowned by friezes and ornamental details in 24-karat pure gold, which emerge from the surfaces like sunken treasures lapped by light.

The Dialogue between Chromatic Currents and Goldsmithing: the silver base gives the machine a deep, lunar brilliance, over which the artists have applied overlapping color glazes that mimic the perpetual movement of ocean currents.

A dense floral and geometric arabesque comes to life on the main column, blending classical styles and natural elements: acanthus leaves and oak tendrils seem to mutate into corals and marine hydras.

The flower flywheel becomes the visual centerpiece of this narrative: its spokes, decorated with symmetrical cobalt and silver motifs, enclose precious 24kt gold inserts at the center and along the edges.

This calculated contrast between the icy coldness of the silver background and the solar royalty of the gold generates a visual short-circuit of extraordinary expressive intensity, magnifying the mechanical nature of the object.
