Medusa Vintage Baroque n° 3

The Vintage Baroque 3 design is characterized by a strongly expressive and decorative aesthetic value, capable of elevating the object to an elegant, virtuous, and refined jewel with typically baroque connotations.

The floral shapes of seventeenth-century art, reinterpreted in the typical decorations rich in Art Nouveau style, are juxtaposed with the pointed lines of the scallops, which lend a calm vintage taste and enhance the shapes of the artifact.

Emerging from the background, thanks to a spatial overlay created by an elaborate floral weave, are the symbolic-ornamental lines of the main motif.

Each line, with an asymmetrical, sinuous, and lively movement, characterizes every detail and pervades the surface, with the absence of symmetry increasing the sensation of movement and internal vitality.

Each golden stem forms a series of curves and at the same time generates leaves, shoots, and smaller stems in a measured ornamental exuberance.

A deliberate contrast between two opposing figurative expressions: one embodies, through open, biomorphic lines, the reference to elements of nature strongly evocative of empathy, while the other contrasts to the point of abstraction with the elegance of geometric shapes and closed lines accentuated by the light that penetrates and diffuses from the surrounding golden spaces.

The complete set, consisting of five original Harley Davidson pieces, has been entirely laminated in gold leaf. The brilliance of the gold is matched here with extreme elegance to the intense colors of bronze, in contrast with the brightness of the mother-of-pearl powder superimposed in transparency on the noble metal. The expressive vivacity is underlined by subtle red fields that characterize and break into, without excess, the elegant monochrome of the composition.

Further enriching the pictorial work is the bas-relief depicting the mythological Medusa.

Integrated on the tank and the rear fender, the two sculptural elements, designed and created with the 3D prototyping technique, stand out thanks to the brilliance of the gold leaf, offering aesthetic suggestions of great visual impact and enhancing the formal opulence of the artistic work.
