The Art of the Plate and the Press

Within Yonah's varied visual inquiry, fine art graphics and indirect intaglio techniques — primarily etching and aquatint — occupy a central role, configuring themselves as an authentic and intimate "alchemical laboratory."

Through the study of the grooves carved by acid on the metal matrix, the artist explores complex themes imbued with mysticism and symbolism: from the dreamlike perspectives of dances macabres to allegorical architectures inspired by Eastern and Western traditions.

Yonah's graphic maturity is sealed by important art editions, among which the cycles dedicated to Der Turm Von Babel (The Tower of Babel) and the significant portfolio of works "Tarot" stand out.

This exclusive series, which contains a very limited edition of 22 plates born from the artist's original drawings, was printed on fine paper in Milan, at the historic and renowned atelier of Giorgio Upiglio, an international printmaker of reference for the greatest masters of the twentieth century (from De Chirico to Giacometti, from Mirò to Fontana).

The engraved work thus becomes a fundamental testing ground for the artist, in which the precision of the scalpel and the chemical biting create a sophisticated contrast between darkness and light.

Art Direction in the Digital and Corporate Sector

In addition to plastic and pictorial research, Yonah has left his mark on the world of computing and new technologies.

As Art Director, he has guided the visual and conceptual design of numerous websites and interactive multimedia products, signing the digital identity and communication of global brands and prestigious academic institutions.

Among the partners of excellence who have benefited from his creative direction are giants of the caliber of McDonald's, American Express, IBM, HP, Sun Microsystems, Encotech, Ihad, Università Bocconi of Milan, and SAP.

The Birth of Unexpected Custom: Applied Art and Luxury

In 2011, from the artistic synergy with Cinzia Masetti, the brand Unexpected Custom was born.

The atelier stemmed from the fortunate intuition of merging the immense wealth of experiences, techniques, and styles developed by Yonah over the years into a single, ambitious project: redefining the concept of authorial customization and personalization.

In the ideal wake of the famous tradition of the Wiener Werkstätten (the historic Viennese workshops that combined art and craftsmanship), Unexpected Custom transforms everyday objects and industrial vehicles into total works of art and unique collector's pieces.

Production ranges from the pictorial and manual decoration of special motorcycles, helmets, and high-end bodywork elements, to the artistic reinterpretation of the historic and iconic Berkel flywheel slicers.

This tailored approach and the highest executive level have catalyzed the interest of the high-end market, resulting in prestigious collaborations with international luxury and design brands such as Versace, Berkel, Jeffrey Levinson, Visionnaire, Baruffaldi, Harley-Davidson, ...

Cinema, VFX, and Multimedia Creative Direction

Since 2020, Yonah's visual research has permanently extended towards the languages of cinema and latest-generation audiovisual productions, thanks to the close artistic collaboration established with 3rd Movie and Liza Network.

In his role as Art Director, Yonah oversees and supervises the creation of films, art videos, commercials, and the complex post-production of visual effects (VFX) and computer graphics (CGI) destined for movie theaters, blending the painter's sensitivity with the potential of digital technologies.

Academic Activity, Essays, and Theoretical Research

In parallel with such a dense career, Yonah has always coupled artistic practice with deep intellectual research and dissemination. He has gained significant teaching experience in high schools, private academies, and universities.

He is also the author of specialized essays and regularly participates as a speaker at international symposia and conferences, offering his academic contribution in the fields of historical, art-historical disciplines, and theological reflection.
